Frequently Asked Questions

"What training & certification do the Cornerbrooks staff have?"

We have a fantastic team of professionals trained in First Aid, CPR, Dog Language, Group Play, Animal Communication, and grooming. Some of our Aunties are Certified Veterinary Assistants and Technologists. We also maintain excellent working relationships with all of our local veterinarians.

"What vaccinations does my pet need? What is the minimum age? Does my pet need to be spayed/neutered?"

 Dogs: Rabies, Yearly Combination, Bordetella

We accept intact male and female dogs; however, we do not accept females in heat.

Cats: Rabies, Yearly Combination

  • We accept intact male and female cats only to the age of 8 months. After 8 months, they must be spayed/neutered to come.
  • Cats & Dogs: The minimum age to stay at Cornerbrooks is 4 months. It isn't until 4 months that they will have received all required puppy/kitten vaccinations. All vaccinations serve to protect them and our other guests.

"Can my senior or special needs pet stay with you?"

We are happy to care for your pet with additional needs. We will discuss all the details about them as individuals. We recommend a trial visit before any longer stays to help your pet feel at ease. We need to develop a warm & trusting relationship with all of our guests. Depending on their unique situation, this may require more time.

(All guests must be capable of walking)

"Can you feed my pet their raw or specialized diet during their stay?"

Certainly, we will feed your pet the same as you would at home. If your pets' meal routine is complex or raw, please divide food into each portion. We will refrigerate/freeze/warm any foods as needed.

"What should I bring for my pet's stay?"

Please bring your pets' food. Always include a little extra in case your return is delayed.

We require your pets' current vaccinations emailed to us before their visit.

You do not need to bring any beds, blankets, bowls, cat litter or toys. We supply these items.
